Mrs. Linda Clouse sharing an original story about pumpkins

Our first grade students had a fun-filled week learning all about the life cycle of a pumpkin! 🎃 As part of their studies, they welcomed special visitors from Farm Bureau who brought their learning to life with an engaging story and a hands-on activity.

Mrs. Linda Clouse shared a story she wrote about the life cycle of a pumpkin, helping students learn how pumpkins grow from tiny seeds into the pumpkins we see in the fall.

The Farm Bureau ladies also guided students in making their very own pumpkin pie in a bag! Students combined pudding, milk, pumpkin, cinnamon, and ginger to create their pumpkin pie filling before adding graham cracker crumbs and whipped topping to make a delicious fall treat. This hands-on activity allowed students to explore how pumpkins can be used while connecting their classroom learning to a real-world experience.

Once the filling was prepared it was time to add it to the cups with their graham crackers and top with the whip cream and taste test!
