Our first graders had a special visitor in their classrooms today to celebrate National Chewing Gum Day! 🍬
Shawn Gray, Trustee—and also known as Mrs. Gray’s husband— stopped by to visit with each of our first grade classrooms. He brought a pack of bubble gum for each student and shared a sweet lesson about perseverance and never giving up.

Mr. Gray talked with students about blowing bubbles. Sometimes, you may not be able to blow a bubble on your first try, but if you keep practicing and trying, eventually you’ll get it! He encouraged students to remember that the same thing is true at school. You may not understand something or get it right the first time, but if you keep trying, practicing, and believing in yourself, you can eventually get it!

Our first graders enjoyed their special treat while learning an important lesson that they can carry with them throughout the school year.
Keep trying. Keep learning. Don’t give up!

Thank you, Mr. Gray, for taking the time to visit our first graders with a fun treat and reminding them that a little perseverance can make a big difference! 💛🖤
