Mrs. Breeding’s 3rd grade students recently celebrated Constitution Day with an exciting, hands-on learning experience! 🇺🇸
Her students participated in a nationwide mock trial, joining approximately 50,000 students from across the country who had the opportunity to serve as the jury and cast their votes.

The case centered around a student who was accused of running in the hallway. After learning about the roles of the different people involved in a courtroom, our students carefully considered the case and cast their votes. In the end, the nationwide jury found the defendant innocent!

Through this engaging activity, students learned about the roles and responsibilities of people in a courtroom, as well as how the principles found in our Constitution continue to be part of our lives today.

It was a fun and meaningful way for our students to experience civic learning in action while celebrating Constitution Day! 🇺🇸
